Full description

Praesidium Pass is a panic button for security officers, event crew and lone workers. One press tells your control room that you need help, and where you are. A pass is issued to you by the organisation running your event — a security company, an event organiser or your employer. It arrives as a QR code on a lanyard or as a link by email. You do not create an account and there is nothing to sign up for. WHAT IT DOES One button. Press and hold, and a countdown gives you a moment to cancel if it was an accident. Your control room sees the alert, your position and your name straight away. Works without a signal for the moment that matters. If the network is down when you press, the alert is held on the phone and sent the instant a connection returns, carrying the time and place of the original press rather than where you ended up. Fall detection. If your pass has it switched on, the phone watches for a fall and raises an alert on its own if you do not respond to the prompt. Group roll call. When something happens, your control room can ask everyone on site whether they are safe, and see at a glance who has not answered. Battery visible to the control room, so nobody is relying on a phone that is about to die. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO This app notifies a private control room run by your organisation. It does not contact the emergency services. In immediate danger, call 999. There is no background location. Your position is read when you raise an alert and while that alert is live, and at no other time. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. TRYING IT WITHOUT A PASS If you do not have a pass, the first screen offers a demonstration. It shows what the app does against a demonstration control room, and every screen in it is marked so it cannot be mistaken for the real thing. Praesidium Pass works alongside the Praesidium control room, where your organisation issues passes, watches alerts come in and runs the roll call.

What's new

First release. A panic button for security officers, event crew and lone workers. Your organisation issues you a pass as a QR code or a link, and one press tells your control room you need help and where you are. Fall detection and group roll call are included where your pass has them switched on. No pass? The first screen offers a demonstration.
