Vwazen is an independent community safety platform for Haiti. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any government entity. Vwazen is not an emergency service and does not dispatch police, firefighters, or ambulances. Share incident reports, view community reports on a map, connect with neighbors, and find nearby hospitals and businesses. Reports shared by community members may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Publishing a report does not request an official emergency response. EMERGENCY INFORMATION AND OFFICIAL SOURCES The app provides quick access to emergency numbers for Haiti. The following government publications are the sources for these numbers: • U.S. Department of State — Haiti Travel Advisory, Emergency Services: police 114 and ambulance 116. https://travel.state.gov/en/international-travel/travel-advisories/haiti.html • UK Government, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office — Haiti: Getting help, Emergency services in Haiti: police 122, fire 115, and ambulance 116. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/haiti/getting-help These are U.S. and UK government publications about Haiti, not claims of affiliation with those governments or the Haitian government. The sources list different police numbers; Vwazen cites each number to its publisher. Emergency services may be unavailable or delayed. Vwazen cannot guarantee that a call will connect or that assistance will arrive.
