Across the State, numerous cases are being reported where individuals are attempting to sell properties that do not belong to them by using fraudulent identity documents, such as forged Aadhaar cards, during property registration. Such malpractices often result in serious disputes, including prolonged court cases, contested ownership, and complexities during the mutation of properties. At present, the State lacks an effective mechanism to identify and prevent these fraudulent practices. This gap creates significant risks for genuine property owners and buyers, undermining trust in the registration process. The proposed mobile application seeks to address this issue by introducing a robust identity verification system through face recognition technology. During the registration process, citizens will be able to verify their identity in front of the Registering Officer using this feature. This will empower the Registering Officer to conclusively verify whether the person selling a property is indeed its rightful owner. By enabling real-time authentication and eliminating the possibility of impersonation, this system will serve as a powerful safeguard against fraudulent transactions. Ultimately, it will enhance the transparency and integrity of the property registration process, protect citizens from exploitation, and reduce legal conflicts arising out of fraudulent property transfer.
