Full description
You're a bombseeker. Get from the entrance to the exit without standing on a mine. Here's the catch: you can't click tiles from across the map. You have to walk onto them. Step on a tile and it tells you how many of the eight tiles around it are hiding a bomb. That tile, and nothing else. Nothing cascades open for free. Every number you get, you paid for with a step. FLAGS COST MONEY Mark the tile next to you and you can walk over it safely, even though you still don't know what's underneath. On some boards that's the only way across. But flags aren't free. You buy them, and any flag still planted when a level ends is gone for good, whether you walked out or died in there. Pick one back up before you leave and you keep it. Once you work out how to shuttle a single flag across two rows of mines, you stop getting stuck. SOMETHING IS OUT THERE The first two regions are just puzzles. After that, from the Sands onward, you're sharing the board with wild beasts, and they don't wait politely while you count. Scorpions are slow and they hit like it. Goblins are faster and take real work to put down. Then there's the Wolfren, roughly the size of the tile they're standing on, hunting in packs, and the only thing out there quicker than you are. You can't walk away from one. Around then, a better sword stops being optional. 45 BOARDS ACROSS 9 REGIONS Alanther's training fields through to the Dark Forrest, and every region brings its own ground, its own scenery and its own problems. Water stops you. Bridges get you over it. A tree or a cactus is never hiding a mine, so scenery is always safe to stand next to. Every board is fixed. Same puzzle every time you load it, so a board you failed is a board you can learn. All 45 are checked to be beatable with the flags they give you. SPEND WHAT YOU MAKE Finishing pays, and so does every mine you flagged correctly. That money goes on flags, on fifteen weapons across three families and five metals, on twenty-three pieces of armour, and on potions for when a fight drags. Armour is straight extra health, not damage reduction. However well dressed you are, a mine still kills you outright. The heavy sets also slow you down, which you'll feel the first time a Wolfren notices you. Broke and out of flags? Take a Random Puzzle. They hand out flags of their own and they always pay, so there's always a way back. BUILT FOR TOUCH Tap the board to take a step. Press and drag to keep going. Hit the flag button and everything you can mark lights up, so tap one to plant it and tap again to take it back. One button swings at the nearest beast. One drinks a potion. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account, no internet needed.
