Insight – News Aloud

Insight is an RSS news reader. Making it genuinely easy to use — including for blind and visually impaired users — has been the starting point behind its design from the beginning, and it works for anyone who wants their news read aloud while driving, walking, or with their hands full. The app also works with reading turned off, and works great simply as a screen-based RSS reader too. CHOOSE YOUR OWN SOURCES Add the RSS news sources you want, and Insight reads headlines and articles aloud using your device's own text-to-speech engine — nothing passes through Insight's own servers, because there isn't one. Organize sources into as many of your own lists as you like (by topic, for example), name each one and hide it when you don't need it, and listen to each list separately — the Updates list always gathers the latest from every source in one place. GO HANDS-FREE WITH INSIGHT PLUS The Insight Plus add-on unlocks fully hands-free use: • Voice control — raise the phone to your ear and speak a command in Finnish, English, German or Swedish • Motion control — tilt the phone to browse headlines and open articles • Swipe navigation between articles — works throughout the article reader, including right over the player controls • An ad-free home screen ACCESSIBILITY FIRST • Adjustable text and button size • High-contrast light theme or dark theme • Long-press any button to hear its name spoken aloud • Interface and voice control available in Finnish, English, German and Swedish Insight doesn't require an account or sign-in, and doesn't collect personal data itself.
