Full description
Send GPX routes from your Android phone straight to your Garmin zūmo over USB. Saddlebag copies the original GPX file to the device unchanged: no cloud sync, no route rebuilding, no laptop. Use GPX files from any route planner or your Loop Smith trips. Connect your zūmo, choose your routes, send. HOW IT WORKS 1. Plug the zūmo into your phone with a USB data cable. 2. Pick the routes: GPX files on your phone or your Loop Smith trips. 3. Send. Saddlebag copies the files to the zūmo's GPX folder and checks them byte for byte. On the zūmo, import them from the Trip Planner as usual. ANY GPX, FROM ANY PLANNER Choose GPX files from your phone, or share one into Saddlebag from another app: route planners, a mail attachment, a download. Several at once is fine. Routes exported for a Garmin (rte with shaping points) and plain tracks both work. YOUR LOOP SMITH TRIPS, ONE TAP AWAY Sign in with the Google account you use on loopsmith.eu and your trips are right there: open a trip, tick the routes, send. Files are exported for your device group (XT2 / XT3, or the XT and older models). Someone shared a trip with you? Open the share link and Saddlebag lists its routes, no account needed. WORKS WITH • Garmin zūmo XT3: USB-C to USB-C data cable • Garmin zūmo XT2: USB-C to USB-C data cable • Garmin zūmo XT: mini-USB data cable, plus a USB-C to USB-A (OTG) adapter or hub on the phone • Other zūmo models that connect over USB as a media device (MTP) Your phone needs USB host (OTG) support, which nearly every modern Android phone has (on some brands, e.g. OnePlus and Xiaomi, OTG is a switch in Settings). Tested on a Pixel with a zūmo XT3 and a zūmo XT. WHY A CABLE Routes that arrive as tracks, get recalculated, or hit a 62-point limit on the way over: the wireless route into these devices rebuilds routes as it goes, so what you planned is not always what you ride. A GPX file copied over USB is the same file your planner made, every shaping point kept. It is how the zūmo has always worked with a computer; Saddlebag just lets the phone do it. NO FUSS No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no subscription. The app talks only to loopsmith.eu (when you use it) and to your Garmin. Signing in is optional: share links and phone files work without an account. Saddlebag is the Android companion of Loop Smith (loopsmith.eu), a personal, non-commercial trip planner for multi-day motorcycle trips: import GPX, get real ride-time estimates, organize the route options, export for the zūmo. Garmin, zūmo and Tread are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. Saddlebag is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Garmin.

What's new

Know what is on your zūmo. With a zūmo connected, every route shows whether it is on the device, changed since you sent it, or missing, and Resync sends just what is behind. Get a notification when a trip you follow is published, mute it per trip, and let the trip owner see who is up to date. A gentle warning when the owner is still editing. Also new: pick the app language in Settings.
