Citybike Helsinki

Citybike Helsinki is an unofficial app for the Helsinki and Espoo city bikes. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with HSL. THE MAP Every station, with how many bikes and how many free docks it has right now. Colour tells you at a glance whether a station is worth walking to. Tap one for directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps. The map needs no account. YOUR ACCOUNT Sign in with your HSL account and the app shows you: • Your cyclist ID in large type, readable at arm's length in daylight • Every ride this season, with distance, duration and where you went • Season statistics - how far, how long, when you ride • Your charges, matched to the rides that caused them You sign in on HSL's own page inside the app. Your password is never seen, stored or sent anywhere by this app, and the app renews the session quietly in the background so you are not asked again every time you open it. PRIVACY There is no server. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Your cyclist ID and rides are stored on your device and nowhere else. Your location is used on the device to sort stations by distance and never leaves it. Station data comes from the operator's public City Bikes feed, published as open data under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Free, with no adverts and no purchases.
