CoreLoad: Block Puzzle

The reactor has no floor. It has four walls. CoreLoad is a block puzzle played inside a 13×13 reactor that makes a quarter turn every ten pieces. What was the floor becomes the wall, and everything you stacked so carefully falls the other way. HOW IT WORKS Pieces fall toward whichever wall is down at that moment and stack against it. A line is any complete row or column: horizontal and vertical both count, and you can build them against all four walls. But a completed line does not clear. It stays CHARGED on the board, lit and waiting, and it keeps taking up your space. It only discharges when the reactor turns. And that is the whole game. ENERGY IS SQUARED Each discharge scores (10 + level) × lines². Two lines together are worth four times one. Four are worth sixteen. Ten are worth a hundred. So you can release lines one at a time and survive quietly, or fill all four walls without completing a single one, hold your breath until the turn, and let it all go at once. The second scores enormously. The second also kills you if you get the maths wrong. THE DIRECTION REVERSES Every time you level up, the reactor starts turning the other way. The arrow under the board warns you in advance, changing colour as it approaches: white, yellow, orange, red. Ignore it and you will find that your perfect play was planned for the wrong direction.
