Full description
Ahlamna is an informative adolescent health game designed to raise awareness about Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and promote safe and responsible health practices among young people. The app aims to help adolescents better understand HIV, how it is transmitted, and how it can be prevented. By presenting accurate information in a fun and engaging way, Ahlamna encourages users to make informed decisions and contributes to efforts that help minimize the spread of HIV. Through interactive gameplay, Ahlamna transforms important health education into an enjoyable learning experience. The app provides reliable information that helps adolescents develop awareness about HIV risks, prevention methods, and the importance of practicing safe behaviors. By combining education with entertainment, the app supports youth in building knowledge that can positively influence their health and well-being. Players can also create and customize their own characters within the game. Users are able to personalize their avatars and unlock prizes as they progress through the levels. Rewards may include new clothing items, shoes, and other character customization options that make the experience more engaging and motivating. As players continue learning and completing challenges, they earn additional rewards that allow them to further enhance their avatars. Ahlamna features several interactive game levels designed to test and strengthen the user’s knowledge: Fact or Bluff – Players answer questions by selecting Fact if the statement is true or Bluff if the statement is false. This level helps players identify myths and facts about HIV and adolescent health. Tamang Hula – Players choose the correct answer from four possible options. This level tests the user’s understanding of HIV awareness, prevention, and other important adolescent health topics. Fill-in mo ’to – Players guess the correct word by connecting letters through swiping from one letter to another. This activity strengthens vocabulary related to health education while making the learning process interactive. Hanap Salita – Players identify and complete the correct word by selecting the right letters. This level challenges players to recall key terms and concepts connected to HIV awareness and health knowledge. Through these engaging activities, Ahlamna provides adolescents with a fun way to learn, practice, and remember important health information. The combination of educational content, interactive gameplay, and character customization encourages continuous participation while reinforcing knowledge about HIV prevention and safe practices. Ahlamna was developed by Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology in collaboration with Department of Health Region VI and Commission on Population and Development Region VI to support youth education, promote HIV awareness, and encourage healthy and informed decision-making among adolescents.
