Full description
Polus is a dedicated Galaxies puzzle — also published as Tentai Show or Spiral Galaxies — for players who want a board they can think their way through rather than poke at. THE RULES TAKE ONE MINUTE • The grid is scattered with stars. • Draw lines along the grid to cut the board into galaxies. • Every galaxy holds exactly one star, and is balanced around it: for every square in it, the square straight across the star — the same distance away — is in it too. • Every square ends up in exactly one galaxy. None is left over. That is all of it. A star can sit in the middle of a square, on the line between two, or on the corner where four meet — and that is the whole difficulty. EXACTLY ONE SOLUTION Every puzzle here is proven to have exactly one solution. The generator rates each board by the hardest step it actually needs, so the difficulty bands mean something. The hint button shows the next move and why it follows. PENCIL AND PAPER, ON GLASS You draw the borders, the way the puzzle is printed: no colours, no filling squares in. Tap a grid line to draw a border, tap it again to rub it out, or run a finger along the grid to draw a whole run at once. A galaxy fills in once it is finished — one star inside it, balanced. WHAT YOU GET • A 12-chapter campaign, from a first light to the long rotation • A new puzzle every day, with a calendar and monthly trophies • Endless play in four difficulty bands • Pinch to zoom, one finger to play at any zoom • Light and dark, in the colours of your wallpaper • Play offline, everywhere, with no account Polus is Latin for "pole" — the fixed point every galaxy turns around. From the makers of Pontis, Insula and Decussis.

What's new

The mark for a wrong cell is thicker and square, and no longer disturbs the grid around it. Two states of a clue never differ by colour alone any more, so the board reads without relying on colour vision. The tutorial now opens on the rules over a solved board.
