Choose audio from your phone or use the microphone to pick up speech around you. SUBTITLES THAT STAY WITH YOU • Translate Mandarin speech into Malay or English. • Show floating subtitles over other apps. • Drag the subtitle box to a comfortable position. • Adjust the text size and choose whether to show the original Chinese text. • View recognised speech and translations inside HoverSub. CHOOSE HOW YOU TRANSLATE On-device translation is free. Download the required language models first, then translate speech on your phone without sending your audio or recognised text for translation. The free version contains ads. HoverSub Plus adds AI-powered online translation and removes ads. It includes 20 hours of online translation per month. On-device translation does not use this allowance and remains available when your monthly online hours run out. Plan prices and billing details are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play. YOUR AUDIO STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Speech recognition runs on your phone. When you choose online translation, recognised text is sent to our translation service and processed by DeepSeek AI on servers in China. Your audio is not sent. No HoverSub account is needed. GET STARTED 1. Choose Malay or English subtitles. 2. Select phone audio or microphone, then choose your translation mode. 3. Tap Start translating and allow the requested audio and display permissions. 4. Open the app you want to watch. Tap the floating subtitles to adjust their size or stop. BEFORE YOU START HoverSub currently recognises Mandarin speech. Phone audio works with apps that allow audio capture; some apps block it. You can try the microphone instead when speech is audible through a speaker. Model downloads require an internet connection, and online translation requires an active Plus subscription and internet access. Automatic subtitles and translations may contain errors. Accuracy depends on speech clarity, background noise and your device. When watching shopping livestreams, check prices, sizes and terms with the seller before buying.
