TETsync

TETsync keeps your Trans Euro Trail routes up to date automatically, and puts the GPX files wherever you want them on your phone. The Trans Euro Trail is a 90,000 km adventure motorcycle route across Europe, published as one GPX file per country. Those files change - sections get rerouted, closed or resurveyed - and keeping up means remembering to check 36 download pages by hand. TETsync does that for you. WHAT IT DOES - Automatic GPX route updates. Tick the countries you ride and TETsync checks them daily, weekly, or only when you ask. - Only downloads what changed. An unchanged route costs a single request and no download at all. Wi-Fi only is on by default. - Routes go where you want them. Into a folder of your choosing - phone storage, an SD card, a cloud folder - written as Netherlands.gpx, Croatia.gpx and so on, ready for any GPX app, route planner or GPS unit. Into OsmAnd directly, if that is what you ride with. Both at once, or neither. - Share a route anywhere. Send one country or every selected country to any app that accepts a GPX file, exactly as the Trans Euro Trail publishes it - another navigation app, your laptop, a mail to a riding mate. - Puts back what goes missing. Delete a route from its destination by hand and the next sync restores it from the copy already on your phone, without downloading again. - Checks that a file really is a route. Some published files turn out to be a PDF under a .gpx name, an empty file, or a section that has been withdrawn. TETsync tells you instead of importing something broken into your maps. - Shows when each country's route was last revised, so you can see at a glance how current your copy is. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install TETsync and open it. 2. Choose where routes should go. 3. Tick the countries you ride, and press Sync. BUILT FOR RIDERS WHO PLAN OFFLINE TET riding happens where there is no signal. TETsync downloads and keeps its own copy of every route you select, so a route can be re-imported, restored or shared later with no connection at all. A destination is optional: with none switched on, TETsync still keeps every selected country downloaded and ready to share. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING TETsync talks to transeurotrail.org to fetch routes, and to nothing else. There is no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Your routes stay on your phone. IF YOU USE OSMAND Routes can be delivered straight into OsmAnd, arriving under My Places - Tracks - TET in the track colour you pick. Both editions work, free and plus. One destination among several, not a requirement. REQUIREMENTS Android 7.0 or newer, and somewhere to put the routes: a folder on the device, or OsmAnd. ABOUT THE TRAIL The routes are surveyed, maintained and published by the Trans Euro Trail and its national linesmen - the volunteers who ride, plot and check every section.
