Ficlit

Ficlit is a short fiction reader organized around one story a day. The feed shows daily stories grouped by genre, each tagged with a read-time estimate: flash fiction runs about one minute; short stories run three to five; longer reads, ten. Eight genres span the main types of genre fiction: Mystery, Humor, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Romance, Drama, Horror, and Slice-of-Life. The Reading View is full-screen with adjustable font size, line spacing, and color theme (light, dark, or sepia); a bookmark saves your position mid-read. Completing a story updates your reading streak and marks the day on a monthly calendar heatmap, making the daily reading habit concrete and measurable. A reading log on the Finished Stories screen records every completed story with its date, genre, and read time; you can filter by genre or re-read any story in the archive.
