When enabled, it uses Android's VpnService API to create a local VPN tunnel on your device. This tunnel intercepts DNS queries - the lookups your apps make before connecting to any server - and blocks known tracker, advertising, and malware domains before a connection is ever established. All DNS filtering happens entirely on your device. No internet traffic, browsing content, or app data is routed through any external server. The local tunnel is used solely to inspect and filter DNS queries, forwarding allowed domains to Cloudflare's DNS resolver (1.1.1.1). Your data is never collected, sold, or shared as part of this feature.
