A planner you write in. MonkeyPlaner is made for the pen — S Pen, Apple Pencil or any other active stylus. You write straight onto the page, the way you would in a paper book, with palm rejection: once the app has seen the pen, it ignores your hand. Your writing stays sharp as you zoom, and it sits in the same place after you switch devices. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE No account, no sign-in, no cloud running in the background. MonkeyPlaner keeps everything locally and works without an internet connection. There are no ads, no analytics, and nothing is passed on to the developer. A network connection is only made if you switch on school holidays or pair a second device of your own — each case explained where it happens. Your planner content never goes to a server run by the developer. You make backups yourself, into a folder the Android system dialog offers on your device. The app signs in to no cloud provider. It can encrypt them with a password only you know. On request it backs up daily or weekly by itself and keeps seven generations. Two devices you have deliberately paired — a tablet and a phone, say — sync directly over the same local Wi-Fi, AES-GCM encrypted, without an account and without a server of ours. Both apps need to be in the foreground for it. There is a second route as well: encrypted sync through a folder both devices can reach.
