Full description

Know & Grow ist ein gemeinsames Projekt der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin und der SRH Hochschule Heidelberg, Campus Berlin. Ziel ist es, altersgerechtes Informations- und Aufklärungsmaterial für Kinder und Jugendliche mit seltenen Stoffwechselerkrankungen sowie deren Familien zu entwickeln. Da bisher kaum kindgerechte Materialien für diese komplexen Erkrankungen existieren, unterstützt das Projekt betroffene Familien dabei, die Erkrankungen und deren Therapie verständlich zu vermitteln. Im Rahmen eines Modellprojekts werden die Materialien in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Betroffenen und Fachleuten entwickelt und zunächst in Berlin eingesetzt. Nach erfolgreicher Erprobung sollen sie deutschlandweit und international verfügbar gemacht werden. Know & Grow leistet damit einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Gesundheitskompetenz und zum selbstbestimmten Umgang mit seltenen chronischen Erkrankungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter.
