An agenda widget that just works — and keeps working. Calio puts your events straight on your home screen: Google Calendar, Outlook, Exchange, CalDAV and local calendars. Fully transparent if you want, or any colour and opacity you like. THE PROBLEM WE ACTUALLY FIXED Most calendar widgets stop updating sooner or later. The date doesn't roll over, finished events stay put, new ones never show up. The cause is almost always the manufacturer's battery optimisation killing the widget's single trigger. Calio uses four independent triggers: • The system wakes us directly whenever your calendar database changes • A precise alarm at midnight for the date change • An alarm on the end of every running event • A periodic background job as a safety net If one fails, the others carry on. Every refresh re-arms all four. And the header is a live clock drawn by your launcher — so the date can never freeze, even in the worst case. If your device still blocks background work, the app tells you plainly, with a button straight into the right system setting. No "please email us". BIRTHDAYS THAT ACTUALLY SHOW UP Google's automatic birthday calendar has been unreliable for years. Calio can read birthdays straight from your contacts instead — with the age and the name first: "Anna Miller · turns 34". You see whose birthday it is at a glance. ALL-DAY EVENTS ON THE RIGHT DAY All-day events are converted correctly and land on the day they belong to — no more holidays shifted by one day. Multi-day events can appear on every day they span, with a counter ("Day 2/5"). REAL LAYOUTS, NOT JUST RECOLOURED ONES • List — day heading, events underneath. Airy and easy to read. • Date column — date in its own column on the left. A lot in little space. • Sidebar — large date block on the left, events beside it. • Month (Pro) — 6×7 grid with week numbers and a dot for every day that has events. Page through with ‹ and ›, tap the month name to jump back.
