Zyxel Astra network security App using VPN service to enhance security measures by intercepting network packets. This process involves several technical steps: - Packet Interception: When a user connects to the internet through our Astra VPN service, all outgoing network packets are intercepted by Astra system. This interception is performed at the network layer, ensuring that we capture all relevant data traffic. - Data Extraction: From the intercepted packets, Astra extracts key information, specifically the destination IP addresses or URLs that the user intends to visit. This extraction process involves parsing the packet headers and payloads to identify and isolate the relevant destination data. - Data Transmission: The extracted IP or URL information is then securely transmitted to Astra backend infrastructure. This transmission uses secure channels to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. - Database Comparison: Once the data reaches Astra's backend, it is compared against a comprehensive database of known malicious IPs and URLs. This database is regularly updated with information about malicious websites, phishing sites, malware distribution points, and other harmful online entities. - Threat Detection: If the comparison process identifies a match between the user's intended destination and an entry in Astra malicious database, Astra system flags this destination as potentially harmful. This detection mechanism helps identify and block access to malicious websites or servers. By combining VPN services with robust data interception, extraction, and comparison techniques, Astra network security app effectively mitigates the risk of users accessing harmful online resources.
