xaround

xaround is the community platform built for underserved campus communities. They have been left to run on tools that were never built for them for a long time. xaround is the platform to serve them properly: the platform many wished existed ten years ago. THE PROBLEMS Campus life still runs on volunteer-run pages, group channels and confession forms. • Continuity. When admins graduate, entire community spaces disappear along with years of shared knowledge. • Trust. Anonymous submissions carry no proof the author is even a student, so honest posts and fake ones look the same. • Chaos. Unstructured feeds make following a long conversation unnecessarily difficult. • Delays. Manual review of form submissions means your post waits hours or days, killing the conversation before it starts. THE SOLUTION xaround puts it all in one platform built for how campus communities actually talk. • Communities that last. Campus communities and interest Circles persist beyond any individual admin, so nothing vanishes at graduation. • Anonymity done right. Choose anonymous or identified on every post and comment. Your identity is used only to validate the submission against policy and is never stored with the content, so there is no trail back to you, not even for us. Verified badges stay visible on anonymous posts, so readers know a verified member of the campus is talking, without knowing which one. • Real structure. Posts carry a title, long-form text, photos, hashtags and topics. Replies nest properly, and you can follow any thread back to the original post. • No waiting. AI moderation screens content around the clock, so your post goes live immediately with human review behind it. FEATURES • Anonymous or verified posting on every post and comment. • Campus communities and interest Circles, with other campuses to explore. • Reposts and quotes, with credit. • Up to six photos or GIFs per post, with pinch to peek. • Search people, posts, replies and hashtags. Recent searches stay on your device. • Private accounts with follow requests and quiet follower removal. • Remove yourself as author of an old post while the conversation stays intact. • Save, hide, block and report. • A toggle for every notification type, plus quiet hours. • Dark mode with a pure black option. • Native tablet support with split view and keyboard shortcuts. • Share any post as an image, with the option to hide usernames. • In-app feedback to help shape the platform. And many, many more!
