YKI Test Prep

Prepare for the Finnish YKI test with practice that follows the real exam. YKI Test Prep is a study app for the Finnish language proficiency test (yleinen kielitutkinto, YKI-testi). You get exam style tasks for every part of the test: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Everything is organised by the official YKI levels, from basic (A1 to A2) to intermediate (B1 to B2) and advanced (B2 to C1), and by the topics that appear in the exam. PRACTICE FOR EVERY PART OF THE YKI EXAM More than 3000 practice questions for reading, listening, writing and speaking. Questions are in Finnish first, with English help one tap away so you can check a word without leaving the task. Reading and listening tasks come with the same kinds of texts and recordings you will meet on exam day. Writing tasks include model answers and a self assessment checklist based on the YKI criteria. Speaking practice lets you record your answer and listen back. LEARN FINNISH VOCABULARY AND GRAMMAR A vocabulary bank of 783 words with flashcards, spaced repetition and 11 word games. Smart Review collects the words you are due to revise and the questions you got wrong into one short session. The 60 second drill gives you a quick mixed round when you only have a minute. Grammar lessons with practice rounds cover cases, verb types, infinitives, participles and more. FIND YOUR LEVEL Take the level test to see whether you are ready for the basic, intermediate or advanced YKI exam. Exam mode runs timed reading and listening rounds so you can practise under real conditions. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS Daily streaks, a weekly XP goal and a four week activity calendar. Detailed analytics show your scores by skill and level, your weak topics and your level test history. Earn achievements, complete challenges and travel across Finland as you level up. Save the practice banks to your phone and study offline. STUDY WITH OTHERS Ask questions and share experiences with other YKI learners on the community board. Study tips, exam information and articles sit right next to your practice. YKI Test Prep is free. An account is required so your progress, streaks and vocabulary follow you across devices. The app contains ads. The practice content is original and modelled on the YKI format. The app is not affiliated with the Finnish National Agency for Education or the University of Jyväskylä, which administer the official YKI test.
