They are not suitable for scholarly citation. Where readings differ, the accepted reading is given in the text and the other readings beside it. Hyangga written in hyangchal are left untranslated, with only the original shown, because scholars do not agree on how to read them. The originals come from the public data of the Korean History Database of the National Institute of Korean History, and from Wikisource (CC BY-SA 4.0). The original text follows its source edition, so archaic characters no longer in use may appear.
