The selfie looks great on screen, then feels like a stranger later: skin turned to wax, hair edges smeared, the face flattened. LUMEA works the other way round. After the face retouch it measures the result again, and if it falls short the app lowers its own strength and recomputes — then returns to your original if that still fails, and says on screen what made it stop. ■ Seven checks before the photo is saved Identity, texture, edges, colour, light, geometry and artefacts. Each is scored on sharpness, eyes, brightness, framing and expression, and the best comes first with a one-line reason. ■ Face angle in 3D From one front-facing photo the app measures depth across the whole picture and turns it on three axes — yaw, pitch and roll — so hair, neck and shoulders move together, not a cut-out face over a still background. ※ Not true 3D reconstruction; the screen always says "estimated view", and the range stops where it still looks natural. First use downloads a depth model once, then runs offline. ■ Your photos never leave the device Face detection, retouching and the quality checks all run on your phone. There is no code in the app that uploads a photo. Gallery access happens only when you pick an image, and no copy of your original is kept — what stays behind is a 128px thumbnail and the edit values as numbers, erasable any time in settings.
