Kept saves notifications received on your Android device. Search missed alerts, chat messages, and text that appeared in a notification before a message was deleted or recalled. No account or cloud sync is needed. Browse, search, and filter history by app or chat. Some apps can show deletion alerts for content already saved. Optional features include deletion alerts, app lock, and screenshot protection. You can manually import or export a password-encrypted ZIP backup and choose whom to share it with. Grant Android notification access to start recording. Kept cannot read a chat app’s internal messages or decrypt conversations. It can only show text that reached a device notification before deletion. Messages without a notification, or deleted before Kept was installed, cannot be recovered. Images, audio, and video may not be recoverable. Records stay mainly on your device. There are no ads or analytics SDKs and no automatic upload to a developer server. Anyone you choose to receive an exported backup gets that file; protect its password. Kept is independent of WhatsApp, Meta, Telegram, WeChat, and Snapchat.
