WCall: Work Phone for Staff

WCall turns a staff member's own Android phone into a company phone. Your business gets a phone number and a set of extensions. Each staff member installs WCall, types in the code you give them, and their phone becomes extension 101, 102, 103 and so on. They can call each other free, take calls from the company number, and call out with the company's number showing. There is no desk phone to buy and no wiring to run. WHAT A STAFF MEMBER SEES A keypad. They dial any number — a supplier, a customer, a colleague's extension — and it goes out through the company line. A Recent list. The last seven days of their calls, with filters for missed, incoming and outgoing, and a red badge on the tab when a call was missed. An Extensions list. Everyone in the company, with a green dot next to the ones whose phone can be reached right now. A Contacts list. The company's staff, the company's customer records, and the contacts already saved on the phone, all in one searchable list. The contacts on the phone stay on the phone — they are never uploaded. A customer card during the call. When a known number rings in, the caller's name, customer ID, plan and any open complaint appear on the call screen before it is answered. Their own status. Available, Busy, Away, In a meeting, Do not disturb. WHAT THE OWNER GETS Calls are logged. Who called, who was called, how long, and whether it was answered. Missed calls are visible instead of invisible. Calls come in on a proper full-screen ring, over the lock screen, even when the phone has been idle. A working-hours setting, a greeting and a menu in Hindi or Punjabi, and ring groups so a call reaches three people at once. Call audio can be kept for the business. That is done by the phone system on our servers, not on the handset — the app has no button that starts or plays one, and the account owner turns it on or off from the admin portal in a browser. Tell your staff; we tell them too, inside the app. SET UP IN ONE STEP You send the staff member a 12-character code on WhatsApp or by email. They type it in once. There is no password for them to choose and none to reset. The code binds to that one handset. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT COLLECTS This is a work tool bought by an employer, so the employer can see work call activity. Call records — who, when, how long — are visible to your own company's administrator only. Location — one precise reading when a work call starts, so the office can see where it was placed from. Accurate to a few metres, because a technician inside a customer's premises and one in the next street have to be told apart. One reading per call: never continuous, never off a call, never in the background. It is asked for on the set-up screen with the microphone and notifications, and the app does not open until it is granted. Phone contacts — read on the handset to put a name to a number. Never sent to our server. Not taken at all: the camera, photos, files, messages, and anything done in other apps. There is no advertising and no tracking in this app. Some of it does leave Wipra. Call audio goes to Google (Vertex AI) for a written summary, only if your company buys and switches on the AI feature; WhatsApp messages go through AiSensy, and so through Meta. A MONITORING APP, AND WE DECLARE IT An employer buys WCall to see its own staff's work calls. We declare it to Google as a monitoring app for enterprise management. Work call activity, and the place an outgoing work call was placed from, go to the employer's administrator. Android shows a permanent notification the whole time it runs. Nothing here is hidden. WHAT YOU NEED An Android phone on version 7 or later, and a working data connection or Wi-Fi. Your company must already have a WCall account — this app cannot be used on its own.
