Whistle is the official grievance reporting platform built exclusively for Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT), Chennai. It empowers students and staff to raise concerns, report issues, and seek resolutions in a completely secure and confidential manner. With Whistle, you can choose to submit your grievance anonymously or with your identity — the choice is entirely yours. When you submit anonymously, your name, roll number, and email are never revealed to grievance reviewers or administrators. Submitting a grievance is simple and guided. Choose a category and subcategory, describe your concern in detail, set the priority level, and attach supporting evidence such as photos, videos, audio recordings, or documents — all in an easy 3-step process. Once submitted, you can track the real-time status of every grievance you have raised — from submitted, under review, in progress, to resolved — all within the app. Your data security is our highest priority. All personal information, grievance content, and user records are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption in our database, and all communication between the app and our servers is protected with HTTPS/TLS encryption. Attached files such as images, videos, and documents are stored in private encrypted cloud storage on AWS and are accessible only through secure, time-limited signed URLs — never publicly exposed. The app also includes screenshot protection on Android devices, ensuring your grievance details and personal information remain private even on your own screen. Student and staff profiles are securely accessible within the app, allowing you to view your institutional information at any time. Accounts are provisioned exclusively by Chennai Institute of Technology — there is no public sign-up. Students and staff log in using their institutional credentials or Google Sign-In linked to their college email.
