Eve - Learn to Read

This app was created for my daughter Ewa. While looking for a reading app for my five-year-old, I noticed that there was nothing like the app I had dreamed of for her. As a programmer, I decided to change that and write the best app – because it was written especially for her – to help her learn to read. Eve is a simple, calm game that helps children learn to read. A word appears on the screen with six pictures below it. Your child reads the word and taps the picture that matches. Every correct answer grows a crown, and stars show the progress. A mistake costs one of five hearts – no stress, you can always start again. HOW IT WORKS • About 150 words with colourful pictures in every language. • A special algorithm picks the pictures so that the wrong answers start with the same letter as the right one – your child cannot guess from the first letter and has to read the whole word. • Four levels – four crowns to earn, six correct answers each. • Words grow with your child: short ones first, longer ones later. • Progress is saved, so your child can come back at any time. PARENTAL SETTINGS • Lower case (cat), upper case (CAT) or both. • Whole words (bottle) or words split into syllables (bot-tle) – perfect for beginners. • Four languages: English, Polish, Spanish and German. Spanish and German can show the article (el, la / der, die, das). • Sounds can be turned off. SAFE FOR CHILDREN • No ads and no in-app purchases. • Works offline. • Collects, sends and shares no data at all – neither the child's nor the parent's. • Asks for no permissions: no camera, microphone or location. Eve is made for preschoolers and children taking their first steps in reading.
