Full description
Media Center is a player for the media server you already own. If you run Plex or Jellyfin at home, your library is already organized, already matched to artwork and already sitting on your own hardware. What is usually missing is something worth watching it through. Media Center is that: a fast, quiet, cinematic interface, with nothing between you and your own files. BRING YOUR OWN SERVER The app ships with no content and no catalog. Nothing is hosted, nothing is bundled, and there is nothing to browse until you connect a server. Your household's administrator connects the Plex or Jellyfin server you already run, and the library that appears is yours — the same files, the same folders, on the same machine they were on before. Running both? Media Center brings them together. Movies can come from one server and series from the other, arriving in a single interface instead of two apps you switch between. A PROFILE FOR EVERYONE Each person in the household gets their own profile, with their own Continue Watching row and their own saved list. Nobody's half-finished film turns up in somebody else's home screen. Kids profiles are genuinely separate rather than cosmetic. A kids profile shows only what the household's administrator has allowed, and the rest of the library is not merely hidden from view — it is not there. Any profile, kids or not, can take an optional PIN. ONE APP, EVERY SCREEN On a television, every screen is reachable with the D-pad, and nothing needs a long press to be usable. On a phone or tablet the same account gives you the same profiles, so the list you saved on the sofa is the list you find on the train. Playback resumes where you left it, whether you stopped mid-film last night or halfway through an episode last week. Subtitles come through on the titles that carry them, and the detail page shows the synopsis, the cast and the artwork your server already matched. Media Center is not a streaming service and provides no content. You supply the server; it supplies the way in.

What's new

First release. Media Center plays the movies and series on the Plex or Jellyfin server you already run at home. It comes with no catalog of its own: connect your server and your library arrives with artwork, descriptions and cast already matched. Everyone in the household gets a profile, with their own Continue Watching and saved list. Phones, tablets and Android TV, with every screen reachable from the D-pad.
