Full description
Set your phone up as a door card, and now Google Wallet won't pay? On OPPO, realme and OnePlus phones (ColorOS), the built-in door access card and Google Wallet fight over the same "default payment app" slot, so you only get one at a time: - While the door card is the default, opening Wallet is not enough: the payment still fails at checkout - Switching to Wallet means digging through several layers of NFC settings while the cashier waits SwitchTap turns that into a single step and ends the door-card-or-Wallet dilemma. 3 WAYS TO SWITCH, PICK YOUR FAVORITE 1) Notification-shade tile (built in, recommended) Pull down the shade and tap "SwitchTap". Works from the lock screen. The tile shows whether Wallet or the door card is active. The first time you open the app from the home screen, it offers to add the tile. 2) One-press volume key (with Button Mapper) Install the free app "Button Mapper" and set a Volume Down long-press to open SwitchTap, so one press starts the switch without pulling down the shade. Button Mapper only works while the screen is on; with the screen off, use method 3 (draw a W). If "Volume key flashlight" is on, turn it off first; both use the same key. 3) Screen-off gesture: draw a W Settings > Accessibility > Gestures & motions > Screen-off gestures > add a gesture (e.g. draw W) > Open app > SwitchTap. No need to turn the screen on, just draw a W. You can set up all three and use whichever you like. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRIGGER IT - Wallet is already the default → Google Wallet opens - Door card is still the default → a "Use Google Wallet instead?" prompt appears; tap Yes and Wallet opens, ready to pay - On the lock screen, you unlock first, then it continues To be clear: for security, Android requires you to confirm any change to the default payment app, and no app can change it silently. So you tap Yes once. SwitchTap shrinks what used to be several menu layers into that one tap. SWITCHING BACK TO THE DOOR CARD On ColorOS phones, double-pressing the power button brings up the door card. No setup needed. PRIVACY - No internet permission: the app never goes online - No access to contacts, location, camera, microphone or files - Only three normal permissions, granted automatically at install with no prompt: NFC and NFC preferred payment info (used only to check which app is the current default payment app), plus wake lock (to turn the screen on when triggered with the screen off) - No ads, no tracking, no account - Long-press the SwitchTap tile to see the guide and privacy policy COMPATIBILITY - OPPO, realme and OnePlus phones running ColorOS (menu names vary slightly by model and version) - Also works on other Android phones where a door card and Wallet share one default slot - Android 8.0+, NFC, Google Wallet installed SwitchTap is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Google or any phone manufacturer. Google Wallet is a trademark of Google LLC.
