Wayfarer Steps

Every step moves your traveller along a painted fantasy road. Walk at your own pace, meet monsters on the way and grow your character as your real-world activity becomes an adventure. Save your walks as journeys, look back at the distance you covered and join friends in party walks with a shared goal or a timed challenge. Party walks have a clear end time so you can celebrate the result together. Earn achievements, claim their XP rewards and pin up to three favourites on your profile. See the achievements your friends have chosen too. Wayfarer Steps uses your phone's step sensor. With your permission it can keep counting while the app is closed, with a visible notification. Your progress is saved on your phone. Optional Google sign-in adds friends and party walks. Visit the Shop to unlock outfit colours, sword trails and portrait frames with gold earned by walking. Your equipped look can appear on your friends' profile view. Optional purchases: premium skins are one-time Google Play purchases (£2.99 each in the UK; Google Play shows the price in your local currency). Skins change how your traveller looks and give no gameplay or step advantage, and every outfit you buy stays on your account. There are no adverts. Wayfarer Membership is an optional subscription: £1.99 a month in the UK, with Google Play showing the local price in other countries. It renews every month until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in Google Play. Members get cloud backup and restore of their progress, so it can be recovered on a new phone (Android may delay background uploads, so backup is not instantaneous), can host up to 10 party walks at once including public ones, keep unlimited treks and see their whole journey history. Free players keep the full game on their phone, friends, joining any number of party walks, hosting one invite-only walk at a time, up to 5 saved treks, the last 7 days of journey history and every outfit they buy. If a membership ends, cloud backup stops; the game on your phone and your outfits are not affected. Wayfarer Steps is for everyday activity and entertainment, not medical use. Distance and calorie figures are estimates. Health Connect and smartwatch integration are not included.
