WaMedia Fixer

WaMedia Fixer restores the correct dates on your WhatsApp photos and videos — for free, with no subscription and no hidden cost. When WhatsApp saves media to your gallery, it strips or overwrites the original EXIF metadata, making all your photos and videos appear as if they were taken on the day you received them. WaMedia Fixer reads the date encoded in the WhatsApp filename (e.g. IMG-20181121-WA0003.jpg) and writes it back as the correct EXIF date — so your gallery is sorted the way it should be. ────────────────────────────── ✦ What it fixes ────────────────────────────── • Photos (.jpg) — restores EXIF DateTimeOriginal from the filename • Videos (.mp4) — corrects the MediaStore date metadata • Batch processing — fix thousands of files in one tap ────────────────────────────── ✦ Why WaMedia Fixer is different ────────────────────────────── Most apps that fix WhatsApp date metadata are paid, require a subscription, or upload your files to a remote server. WaMedia Fixer is completely free, processes everything locally on your device, and never uploads anything anywhere. ────────────────────────────── ✦ How it works ────────────────────────────── 1. Tap Scan — the app finds all WhatsApp photos and videos that have an incorrect date. 2. Review the list — see exactly which files need fixing and what the corrected date will be. 3. Tap Fix — Android will ask for write permission once per batch. Done. No account. No cloud. No ads. No cost. ────────────────────────────── ✦ Privacy ────────────────────────────── WaMedia Fixer reads and writes media files stored on your device. No data is collected, transmitted, or shared. Processing is 100% local. ────────────────────────────── WaMedia Fixer is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp LLC. WhatsApp and Meta are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
