Full description
Arrange a handful of wooden letter tiles so every row and every column spells a word. That's ForeWord — simple to learn, endlessly satisfying to solve. A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY A fresh 4×4 ForeWord lands at midnight, plus a gentler 3×3 warm-up. Each puzzle's title hints at its theme without spoiling the answer. Build a streak, then share your result — spoiler-free. OVER 2,800 LEVELS, YOUR OWN PACE No daily limit, no waiting. The Levels tab holds 1,038 4×4s and 1,771 3×3s, sorted easiest to hardest. Jump in, jump around, pick up anytime. HELP THAT RESPECTS YOUR BRAIN Check marks every finished line: ✓ fits the puzzle, ~ a real word that won't work here, ✕ not a word at all. Hint drops in one correct letter when you're stuck. And unlike some word-square games, ForeWord accepts any arrangement that actually works — not just the one we had in mind. DESIGNED TO FEEL GOOD Tap, drag, or type your letters. Undo, shuffle, and clear whenever you like. Warm woodgrain tiles in light or dark mode. No account to create, no ads, no tracking — just you and the puzzle, online or off. PLAY FREE, UPGRADE IF YOU WANT MORE The daily puzzle and the first 50 levels of each size are free, forever. ForeWord Unlimited is a single $2.99 purchase — no subscription — that unlocks every level and the entire daily archive. ForeWord started with a box of wooden letter tiles one family got for Christmas. We hope it brings you the same quiet kind of fun.

What's new

Added a hint feature, with everyone starting with 1000 hints. Use them wisely. Fixed a bug with the hinting system. Puzzles are now selected randomly, rather than sequentially.
