Full description
Hector turns texts into reminders. When your partner texts "can you grab milk on the way home," or your boss texts "send me the report by 3," Hector makes the reminder for you, only from the people you name. Then it nags: the alarm gets louder the longer you wait, and a reminder can lock until you take a photo proving it's done. Good for • People with ADHD who forget what someone asked by the time they put the phone down • Couples who want a shared honey-do list without the nagging • Anyone who needs an alarm they can't just swipe away No money at stake. No charges to dispute. Just a person who knows you, a photo, and an alarm that actually goes off. What Hector does • Reminders in plain English — "pay the water bill tonight at 7" • Four rungs of alarm, each louder than the last, until it's done • Proof: lock a reminder until you photograph the end result • People: the friends, family or coworkers whose texts become reminders • A safe word a trusted contact can text to let you off • Quiet hours, three voices to choose from, and nothing else to configure How Hector reads messages Hector uses Android's notification access to read notifications. It only acts on the ones from the people you name in People; everything else is ignored and never leaves your phone. It never reads your messaging app directly, never asks for SMS permission, and verification codes never leave your phone. Each message from a named person is sent to Anthropic's AI model to be judged. Hector doesn't store the message; Anthropic doesn't train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Hector keeps only the task, the time, and who asked. Hector is free for up to three people, for your first 200 reminders from their messages. Reminders you set yourself are free and unlimited, always. $4.99 a month removes the 200 limit, with a free first week. $9.99 a month removes the limit on people too.
