Village Toolkit

Village Toolkit is a shared place for the chores, events, finances, and agreements that keep an intentional community running. If your community already uses Village Toolkit, sign in to: - See your chores and when they're due - Browse what's coming up on the community calendar - Read and take part in the community forum - Look up residents, households, and who holds which role - Follow projects and the tasks attached to them - Read your community's policies and procedures Notifications tell you when a chore comes your way or an event needs a decision, so nothing depends on someone remembering to send an email. FOR STEWARDS AND ADMINISTRATORS Village Toolkit brings the work of running a community into one place. Chores — rotating, shared, or assigned to everyone, with schedules you can publish for the whole community Events — a community calendar with an approval step, so the shared diary stays intentional Finances — monthly and yearly cash flow, categorized and legible to everyone Residents and households — arrivals, departures, and stewardship roles at a glance Volunteers — work-stay dates, skills, and contributions, laid out on a timeline Policies and procedures — a living library of your community's agreements, searchable and current Projects — tasks, members, and comments, so work doesn't live in one person's head Roles and permissions — so people see what's theirs to see Dark and light mode - so you don't strain your eyes WHO IT'S FOR Eco-villages with shared land, resources, and decision-making. Co-operatives that value transparency and participation. Intentional communities of any shape. Village Toolkit adapts to how your community already works, rather than the other way around. GETTING STARTED Village Toolkit works alongside a community. If yours already uses it, you'll need an invitation from an administrator, or you can ask to join. If you're setting one up, start at villagetoolkit.com. Your community's records stay your community's. Every organization is kept separate from every other, and administrators decide who can see what. Built with care on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
