Full description

Crossing the Lexicon is a word puzzle about building bridges out of words. Each board has a few laurel squares and a rack of letter tiles. Lay the tiles down so that words link every laurel. Everything that reads across or down has to be a real word, and all your tiles have to touch. That is the whole game. Solving it well is another matter. FEWER TILES, MORE STARS Every board has a par. Finish at par for three stars. Beat it and you take the crown. There is always more than one way through, so the first answer you find is rarely the best one. NEVER STUCK Can't see it? A hint lays down a word that works. Hints will always get you to the end of a level; they just won't find the shortest route for you. 300 LEVELS The first boards take a few seconds. Later ones are bigger, add stone squares you have to build around, and ask more of your vocabulary. A NEW BOARD EVERY DAY The daily board is the same for everyone, gets harder through the week, and keeps your streak going. MADE TO BE PICKED UP • Tap a square and type, or drag tiles into place • Words light up gold the moment they are valid • Plays offline • Light and dark themes • Sound and vibration you can switch off The boards from the original daily game are still here too, under Classic.

What's new

Crossing the Lexicon has been rebuilt from the ground up. New "Levels" game mode has been added! Stars rewarded based on Par, and a crown for solutions that beat it. Small boards you can finish in a minute, 300 levels. The daily board remains and has a win streak. If stuck, use hints that will always get you through. Plays fully offline. Original boards live on under Classic.
