Via Fidelis — The Rosary

Via Fidelis is a traditional Catholic house of prayer: a few places, a few customs, and much silence. Free, with no ads. THE ROSARY, IN A ROSE Following the Living Rosary of Pauline Jaricot, a Rose gathers fifteen people. Each prays the rosary every day, meditating in particular on one of the fifteen mysteries: together, the Rose embraces the whole rosary. You see who has prayed, you carry the others' intentions, and when the whole crown has prayed, it closes. THE PRAYER OF THE DAY • Today: the feast of the day, the prayer of the hour and what awaits you, on a single page. • The rosary, with several methods (traditional, St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, Fr Vayssière). • The Angelus at 6 am, noon and 6 pm, and the Regina Caeli in Eastertide. • The Office (Lauds, Vespers, Compline…), the daily Missal, the traditional liturgical calendar. • The Way of the Cross, the examination of conscience, novenas in the rhythm of the Church. THE BELL A monastery bell rings seldom, but always on time. Your hours ring (morning, the Angelus, evening, your appointment); the Rose makes itself heard in measure; nothing after 10 pm except the hour you chose. In the Android app the Angelus rings with its bells: three strokes three times, then the echo of the church. THE CROSSING For Lent, the forty-two stations of Israel in the desert (Num 33), one a day: a text, a gesture, a halt. Alone, with your Rose or in a caravan with those close to you, and a road book to print. TOGETHER Intentions entrusted and carried, prayer campaigns of Christendom, pilgrimages on the map, retreats in abbeys. YOUR BOOK The days you pray are written in your book of hours, with no rankings: nothing compares you with others. Your dates, your departed, your parish, and the book of the year to print. THE LIBRARY The Catechism of St Pius X, the saints, the history of the Church, papal documents, St Thomas Aquinas, formation courses.
