Veteransition

Leaving the military is one of the biggest transitions you'll face. Veteransition keeps you organized, informed, and on track from your first TAP briefing to your first civilian paycheck. It is a free app for any U.S. military service member or veteran navigating the transition to civilian life. There's no organization to join, no employer account, no unit roster, and no access code — download it, create an account, and you're in. What's inside: 82 Transition Tasks A phased checklist covering everything from requesting medical records to filing your BDD claim. Tasks are sorted by timeline, priority, and category so you always know what's next. 5 Financial Calculators Estimate VA Disability, GI Bill, Retirement Pay, DD Form 2648, Checklist Progress, and more. Calculators use publicly available rate data — always verify with official sources before making financial decisions. 197 Curated Resources Links to VA, DoD, and government sources organized across benefits filing, healthcare, employment, financial planning, housing, education, and family support. Goal Tracking Set goals across four domains — Health, Wealth, Career, and Family. Daily check-ins and a momentum score show whether you're actually moving forward. Workout and Habit Tracking Log PT sessions, track intensity, and build habit streaks. You spent years building discipline — this helps you keep it going. Deadline Alerts SGLI conversion windows, TRICARE enrollment cutoffs, dental deadlines — the app reminds you before time-sensitive windows close. Achievements Earn badges for consistency, milestones, and completing goals. Small wins keep you motivated when the transition feels long. Notes, Export, and Sync A sidebar notepad for jotting down questions. PDF and CSV export for your records. Cloud sync across devices. How it works in practice: You're 18 months out. You open the app and see that it's time to pull your medical records. The VA Disability calculator gives you a rough estimate. You bookmark a few employment resources and set a goal to get your resume done this month. Over the next few weeks, you check off tasks, log workouts, and start seeing your momentum climb. The financial gap calculator shows what life looks like on the other side. When your SGLI conversion deadline is two weeks away, the app lets you know. By separation day, your benefits are filed, your plan is clear, and nothing slipped through the cracks. Free tier gives you all 82 tasks, 197 resources, 5 calculators, goal tracking, and cloud sync. Unlock all 22 calculators, data export, advanced reports, and the full achievement system.
