Full description
Clutter Sherpa helps families turn household chores into clear, manageable routines. Parents and guardians can organize family members, rooms, cleaning schedules, goals, and rewards in one place. Children can see what needs attention, submit room photos, receive an automated room evaluation with helpful feedback, and track their progress. HOW CLUTTER SHERPA WORKS - Create household member profiles and rooms - Schedule cleaning check-ins and task reminders - Use the camera to scan a member login QR code or submit room photos - Receive automated room scores and suggestions - Review results and progress from the family dashboard - Motivate family members with goals, rewards, and a family leaderboard - Optionally use Android parental controls to limit selected apps when chores are overdue OPTIONAL ANDROID PARENTAL CONTROLS Clutter Sherpa is a family chore-management and parental-control app. It is not an accessibility tool. A parent or guardian may choose to set up App Lock on a child's Android device. App Lock is optional and is not required to use Clutter Sherpa's chore, room-evaluation, scheduling, or reward features. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API DISCLOSURE With a parent or guardian's permission, Clutter Sherpa uses Android's AccessibilityService API only to detect the app name and package identifier of the app currently open on the child's device. This information is processed on the device. When a parent-authorized lock is active—such as when a scheduled chore is overdue or a parent selects Lock Now—Clutter Sherpa identifies a parent-selected app and uses the separately granted "display over other apps" permission to cover it with a clear Clutter Sherpa lock screen. The lock is removed when the chore is completed, the parent unlocks the apps, or the selected lock period ends. The AccessibilityService does not read or retrieve screen contents. It does not read messages, passwords, form entries, or anything typed; capture keystrokes; record audio or calls; take screenshots; change device settings; bypass Android privacy controls or notifications; or prevent the service or app from being disabled or uninstalled. Its use is limited to the parent-authorized App Lock feature. A parent or guardian must first review a separate in-app disclosure and give affirmative consent. The AccessibilityService must then be enabled manually in Android Settings on the child's device. Consent may be declined without losing the app's other features. The service can be disabled in Android Settings, and the parent can withdraw consent in Clutter Sherpa. Withdrawing consent releases active app locks and stops foreground-app detection. INSTALLED-APP VISIBILITY DISCLOSURE To let a parent choose which apps may be locked, Clutter Sherpa accesses the list of launchable apps installed on the child's Android device. The app inventory includes app names, package identifiers, launcher icons, and whether an app is a system app. This information is securely synced to the family's Clutter Sherpa account so the authorized parent or guardian can view the list and select apps for parental control. It is used only to provide App Lock and is not sold or shared for advertising or analytics. CAMERA AND NOTIFICATIONS Camera access is used when a user chooses to scan a Clutter Sherpa login QR code or take a room photo. Submitted room photos are sent for automated evaluation and may appear in the family's review and history screens. Notification permission is used for cleaning reminders, results, and parental-control status. These permissions can be declined or managed in Android Settings. Clutter Sherpa keeps the family focused on the goal: building consistent habits, making progress visible, and turning household organization into teamwork.
