Veil: Photo, file Vault & Lock

Veil is a private vault that keeps your personal files encrypted and hidden behind a PIN and your fingerprint. Photos, videos, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, archives — anything you add to Veil is locked inside the app, so anyone scrolling through your phone only ever sees what you choose to show them. Everything happens on your device. Veil has no internet permission at all, no account to create, and no cloud. Your files are encrypted with AES-256 using a key stored in your phone's hardware-backed keystore, which means they can't be read even if someone copies the files off your device. Why people use Veil Keep private photos private when you hand your phone to a friend or your kids Lock down sensitive documents — IDs, contracts, payslips, bank statements Keep work files and personal files separate on the same phone A clean, fast, distraction-free vault — no ads in your face, no clutter Features Any file type — photos, videos, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, archives and more PIN lock — a 6-digit code is required every time you open the app Fingerprint & face unlock — fast biometric entry, with PIN as backup Real encryption — AES-256-GCM with a hardware-backed, non-exportable key Hidden from recents — the app preview is blocked, and screenshots are disabled Import in seconds — add from your gallery or your files, multi-select supported Full-quality photo viewer — pinch to zoom, swipe between images Export when you need to — save a decrypted copy anywhere you choose Auto-lock — Veil re-locks the moment you leave the app 100% offline — no internet permission, no tracking, no data collected Your privacy, by design Veil cannot upload your files because it has no network access. There are no analytics, no ads SDKs, and no third-party trackers. You don't sign in, because there's nothing to sign in to. The vault lives on your phone and only your phone. Free, with an optional upgrade Veil is free and fully functional, and stores up to 30 files. If you need more, a one-time Veil Pro upgrade unlocks an unlimited vault — a single payment, no subscription and no ads, ever. Important Because your files are encrypted on your device with no cloud backup, please keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable and remember your PIN. If you uninstall Veil or wipe your device, files that exist only inside Veil cannot be recovered. This is the trade-off that keeps them truly private. Download Veil and take back control of your private files.
