Variety 20: Eat Real Plants

Most plant-tracking apps count anything that grows. Variety 20 keeps the focus on real fruits and vegetables — and aims for 20 different ones a week. Researchers have associated a more varied intake of plants with greater gut microbiome diversity. Variety 20 turns that into one positive weekly habit — no calorie counting, no food rules, no guilt. WHY 20, NOT 30 Other plant-variety apps count grains, nuts, seeds, and spices alongside fruits and vegetables, and set the bar at 30. We chose to focus on whole produce — where the dietary-fiber story is strongest — and set the bar at 20. It's an honest target for real life, and the app gently encourages you beyond it once the habit lands. HOW IT WORKS • Log meals by photo, voice, search, or quick-log from your Library — our AI recognizes the produce for you • Watch your weekly variety climb across five color groups: greens, oranges, reds, blues*, and purples • Keep your streak going week after week • *Toggle herbs in the blue color group on or off — count them when you want to, or aim for a strict 20 of fruits and vegetables only SUBSCRIPTION Variety 20 is free to download and offers a free trial. An active Variety 20 Pro subscription is required to log and track your variety and to use AI photo & voice logging, unlimited logging, and the full insights dashboard: • Variety 20 Pro (Weekly) • Variety 20 Pro (Annual) — includes a 7-day free trial A WIDER PLATE, NOT A SMALLER ONE This is about adding, not subtracting. A new leafy green counts. A different kind of pumpkin counts. A handful of beans counts. The app celebrates every new plant you try, so building the habit feels positive — never restrictive. MADE FOR REAL LIFE • Fast logging that fits a busy day • Supports common food names, including bilingual Chinese plant names • A calm, encouraging design — no shaming, no calorie scolding Variety 20 is a general wellness and habit-tracking app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. A wider plate this week starts with one new plant. T&C RELATED Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
