Planar Head & Bodies

Drawing becomes much easier when you can clearly see how light and shadow fall on form. This app is a simple visual reference that helps artists study lighting on both heads and full bodies. For head studies, you can rotate the model freely to match your drawing angle, then move the light around to observe how shadows shift across planes. Adjust direction and intensity to explore soft lighting, strong contrast, or more dramatic setups. For body studies, the app introduces poses in motion. Play through movement, pause at any moment that feels interesting, and use it as a reference. Once paused, you can rotate the body and adjust the lighting to study how light interacts with the figure from different angles. This makes it easier to understand form, gesture, and lighting together. The app is designed to be quick and distraction-free. Use it alongside your sketchbook or tablet while drawing. It works well for quick studies, lighting experiments, or as a reference while refining your work. Useful for artists at any level, this tool helps you draw heads and figures with more confident lighting, clearer shadow placement, and a stronger sense of form.....without guessing.
