Full description
LOVE THE MIRROR. HATE THE PHOTO? Find your angle before the photo. ALL THAT EFFORT. FOR A REFLECTION. Check more than your reflection. YOUR PHOTO SHOULDN’T CATCH YOU OFF GUARD. Meet the unmirrored view first. Unmirror gives you a live, non-reversed view. Look while you move, make any adjustments you want, then get on with your day. You don’t have to take a photo. WHY CAN A PHOTO OF YOU FEEL SO UNFAMILIAR? Your reflection is the version of yourself you’ve seen most often. A photo may show the same face with its left and right sides the other way around. That small change can feel surprisingly strange, especially when your hair or features aren’t perfectly symmetrical. Feeling unfamiliar does not mean looking worse. Unmirror lets you spend a moment with that less familiar view before you take a selfie, step out, or join a call. You can check the details while you’re moving instead of judging yourself from one frozen image. THE IDEA BEHIND IT Research on reversed face images suggests that familiarity can influence which version of our own face we prefer. That helps explain the feeling; it doesn’t promise that one view is the definitive way everyone sees you. Source: Mita, Dermer and Knight, “Reversed facial images and the mere-exposure hypothesis” (1977). doi:10.1037/0022-3514.35.8.597 Install Unmirror. Take a look before the moment matters.

What's new

One last look before you step out. Check your hair, outfit, or expression with a live unreversed view. This update also improves readability and transitions.
