Store listing

Full description
UnitPrice is a personal grocery and household price journal. Add the products you buy, and every time you see a price — at any store, in any package size — log it: store name, price paid, quantity, and unit (grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds, millilitres, litres, teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, fluid ounces, or count as each/pack). UnitPrice normalizes every entry to a common per-unit cost (per kg, per liter, or per item) so a bigger or smaller package size can never distort a comparison: it finds the store with the genuinely lowest price per unit right now, even when the raw sticker prices point the other way. Beyond "who's cheapest today," each product also gets compared against its own price history. Once a product has at least 3 prior logged prices, UnitPrice shows an honest "X% cheaper/pricier than usual" verdict against your own average — below that threshold it says plainly that there isn't enough history yet, rather than guessing from one or two data points. The DealGauge widget visualizes exactly where the latest price sits between the cheapest and priciest you've ever paid for that product, with a marker that slides and recolors from green (cheap) to navy to red (expensive) as new prices come in. A dedicated Stats screen rounds out the picture: products tracked and prices logged at a glance, a weekly logging-activity trend, a category breakdown of your product list, a 12-week logging heatmap, and a callout for the biggest recent price drop or increase across everything you track. UnitPrice works entirely offline. There is no external price database, no price-lookup API, and no receipt scanning — every comparison, past or present, is computed only from prices you typed in yourself. Key features: • Log prices per product with store, price, quantity, and unit • Normalized unit-price comparison (per kg / per liter / per item) finds the real cheapest store, regardless of package size • Reliability-gated "cheaper/pricier than usual" comparison against your own price history (needs 3+ prior logs) • DealGauge — visual marker showing where the current price sits between your historical cheapest and priciest • Full price history per product, browsable by store and date • Stats screen: totals, weekly trend, category breakdown, logging heatmap, and biggest price change callout • Fully offline — no account, no external price database or API, no receipt scanning
