Society Rides is carpooling built exclusively for gated residential communities. Every person you ride with is your actual neighbour from your own society — not a stranger. To get started: search for your society. If it's already registered, request to join. If it's not listed yet, you can register it as its Founder and bring carpooling to your community. Founders earn Gold membership. THIS APP DOES NOT HANDLE ANY KIND OF PAYMENTS OR FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS. THIS APP DOES NOT USE GPS FOR ITS NORMAL FUNCTIONING. HOW IT WORKS • Founders register their society and invite the first members • New members join by invitation code or neighbour approval • Drivers and riders match within the society for daily commutes • Every user is a verified resident — no strangers FOR FOUNDERS Register your society in a few minutes. Upload a society photo and one identity document. Once our team approves it, you receive invite codes to share with your neighbours. How It Works (more) User who sign up and choose to Register their societies become Founders and they are the only ones who submit at least one identity document which is manually verified. Then they are given a large number of invite codes that they distribute to their society members. Residents then join by registering with their name, flat number, phone number, and vehicle details. They enter the invite codes and they are into the society. They can then post ride offers or send ride requests to neighbours travelling in the same direction. Because all participants live in the same community, the platform operates on a foundation of familiarity and accountability rather than anonymity. Key Features Smart Carpool Matching — Matches riders and drivers within the same residential society based on routes and availability. Ride matching is done along every point of the route and not just with destinations. Driver Verification — Drivers submit their vehicle registration, vehicle photos, and driver's licence for verification before they can offer rides. Karma System — Users build a karma score over time based on activity and reliability, encouraging consistent and trustworthy participation. Ratings & Reviews — After rides, users can rate each other anonymously, maintaining community standards without personal conflict. SOS Emergency Feature — A dedicated safety mechanism that, when triggered, simultaneously activates (user opted) real-time GPS tracking, begins a (only if User opted) 5-minute audio recording, and alerts three high-karma, active society members to respond. Emergency contact details are also shared with responders. Audio recordings are accessible only to the super administrator or law enforcement under legal request. Push Notifications — Ride requests, confirmations, and updates are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Privacy & Safety Philosophy Society Rides is built around a closed ecosystem — only verified members of a residential society can interact with each other, significantly reducing the risks associated with open ride-sharing platforms. No personal data is sold to third parties. Ride history and audio recordings are automatically purged after 6 months. The app complies with GDPR and CCPA rights, giving users full control to access, correct, or delete their data at any time.
