One wrong power and it is over. Choose right and nothing on the road can stop you. A wall is coming. Then a tree, a tyre, a stack of crates. You have a hammer, a magnet, a machine gun, wings, ice, water, fists and a portal, and only one of them gets you past what is directly in front of you. Your rivals are choosing too, and they are not slowing down. HOW TO PLAY You run forward automatically. The only thing you control is which power you are carrying when you hit the next obstacle. Your available powers sit along the bottom of the screen. Tap one and your character switches instantly: hammer through a wall, freeze an obstacle solid, magnet it out of the way, fly over it with wings, blast it apart, punch straight through or slide underneath. Pick correctly and you carry straight on without losing a step. Pick wrong and you slam into it, and that is the run finished. Meanwhile a rival runner is making the same choices on the same track, and only one of you reaches the line first. KNOW YOUR POWERS The hammer is blunt and reliable and smashes what is solid. Ice locks an obstacle down so you pass it safely instead of destroying it. The magnet drags things out of your path rather than going through them. Wings take you over the problem entirely. The slide takes you under it. Water clears and douses, the machine gun is loud and indiscriminate, and the portal simply skips you past. Knowing what each power does takes a minute. Knowing which one a particular obstacle wants is the actual game, and since every level gives you a different selection, you cannot fall back on one favourite. WHY YOU WILL KEEP PLAYING Each level is a chain of split second decisions with immediate consequences. You choose, you see whether you were right, and you either keep running or start again. There is no waiting and no long tutorial. Failing costs you a couple of seconds, so experimenting is genuinely fun. Try the wrong power on purpose to see what happens to a stack of barrels. Some of the best moments come from a choice that should not have worked. It is the kind of game you open for one level and put down four levels later. Changing power at the last moment usually means changing it too late. • When in doubt, ice.
