Color Maze Race

A grid of coloured tiles. A finish line on the far side. And a little character who can only step on the colour he is wearing. Color Maze Race is a colour-mixing puzzle with a rival on the clock. Every level lays out a board of bright tiles in reds, blues, yellows, pinks, oranges and greys, with a checkered finish at the end. Your character starts plain white. Before he can move, you have to paint him. And the colour you choose decides exactly which tiles he is allowed to walk on. MIX TO MOVE At the bottom of the screen sit your paint pots. Red. Blue. Yellow. White. Each one has a small number on it, and that number is how many times you can use it this level. Tap a pot and your character takes on that colour. Tap a second pot and the two blend together. Red and yellow give you orange. Red and white give you pink. Blue and yellow give you green. You can stack up to four paints into a single mix, and every combination opens a different route across the board. Once he is the right shade, tap the tile you want him to reach. He finds his own way there, walking only across tiles that match him. If there is no matching path, he stays put, and you need to think again. Mixed the wrong colour? The eraser wipes him clean so you can start the mix over. THE RACE PART You are not crossing alone. A rival starts on the board beside you, mixing colours and plotting its own route to the same finish line. Every second you spend staring at the paint pots is a second it spends moving. That turns a calm colour puzzle into something with real pressure. The perfect mix that takes you right to the flag is worth nothing if the other runner gets there first. Sometimes the smarter move is a quick colour that gets you halfway, then a second mix to finish the job. Reach the checkered tiles first and the crown is yours. WHY IT GETS UNDER YOUR SKIN The early boards are friendly. One colour, one obvious path. Then the boards start mixing shades together, so the route to the finish runs through orange, then pink, then plain red, and your paint counts are just barely enough to get there. Spend a red too early and you will be stuck one tile short with nothing left to mix. Walls cut across the board. Shades sit right next to each other that look almost identical until you try to step on the wrong one. Planning a route becomes a genuine little puzzle every single time. It makes a lovely game for younger players too. Everyone knows what happens when you mix red and yellow, and seeing it work out on the board is satisfying at any age. A FEW TIPS Read the whole board before you touch a pot. Find the colour that covers the longest stretch toward the finish and start there. Count your paints. If the route needs two oranges and you only have one yellow, find another way. Do not be afraid to erase. A clean restart is often faster than forcing a bad mix. Watch the rival.
