Tower Operator puts you in the control room of a high-rise. People are arriving in the lobby, pressing the call button upstairs, checking their watches. You decide where every car goes. REAL CARS, REAL PHYSICS Every elevator accelerates, cruises and brakes to stop exactly on the floor, so a long haul to the top costs real time and a car sent the wrong way loses the rush. Doors take time to open and close. Cabins have a capacity. Riders press their own floor buttons and the car serves those stops on its own, in proper collective order - keep going while there is a stop ahead, then turn round. Your job is the hall calls: send a car to a floor before the people standing there give up. SIX TOWERS Start in a ten floor office block with a single car and work up to a fifty floor centre with four. Each tower has its own rhythm: a morning rush out of the lobby, an evening rush back down, and hot floors - a canteen, a trading floor, a sky lounge - that pull traffic in both directions. Earn stars to open the next building. THE SHIFT A shift lasts a couple of minutes on the clock. Waiting passengers stand at the landings in green, turn amber as they get restless and red just before they walk away. The result sheet scores you on passengers moved, average wait, satisfaction and earnings, and shows how that compares with your last shift in the same tower. UPGRADES Spend your fares on a stronger traction motor, faster drive control, bigger cabins, quicker doors, lobby displays that keep people patient, and one extra car for every tower. Upgrades apply everywhere, so a strong fleet makes the tall towers possible.
