Full description

Fake SID is an Android app for creating quick, casual C64-style music. Designed as a lightweight "retro toy," it offers a simple entry point into the world of chiptune trackers without the complexity of professional tools. If you’re looking for a fun way to experiment with 8-bit sounds and lo-fi melodies on the go, Fake SID provides an easy-to-use pattern-based interface. Looking for a more serious experience? If you require cycle-accurate emulation and GoatTracker 2 compatibility, please check out my flagship app: GTMobile - C64 SID Tracker. Documentation & Manual: Find the reference manual and tutorials at: https://2bt.github.io/fakesid/

What's new

Major update! Modern file access with no storage permissions needed. Load songs from anywhere using the new IMPORT button. Export songs anywhere with SAVE AS. Open song files directly from WhatsApp, email, and other apps. If you have songs from the old version, connect your phone to a PC and copy them from: Internal Storage/fakesid/songs/ → Internal Storage/Android/data/com.twobit.fakesid/files/songs/ Also check out GTMobile — my C64 SID tracker based on GoatTracker 2!
