Full description
Speak instead of type. Twik turns your voice into text that is ready to send. Twik is a voice dictation accessibility tool for Android. Speak the way you normally talk and Twik writes it out properly, so you never have to fix it before sending. Most built-in dictation writes down every word exactly as you said it, including the pauses, the restarts, and the mistakes. Twik understands what you meant and writes that instead. When you tap into a text field, a small Twik mic button appears above your keyboard. Tap it, speak, and your words go straight into the field. Your regular keyboard does not change. Twik works in WhatsApp, Gmail, Instagram, ChatGPT, Slack, Notes, and anywhere else you type. SPEAK THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY SPEAK Millions of people do not think in only one language. They start a sentence in one and finish it in another. Most voice apps force you to pick a single language and stay in it. Twik does not. Mix languages mid sentence and Twik keeps up, so you are never switching keyboards or repeating yourself. WHAT TWIK DOES Keeps your existing keyboard Twik sits on top of whatever keyboard you already use. Nothing to replace, nothing to relearn. Cleans up as you speak The pauses, the "uh", the half-finished sentence you started over. Twik takes those out on its own. Follows your corrections Change your mind halfway through a sentence and Twik keeps the version you settled on, not both. Punctuates for you Full stops, commas, and line breaks are added where they belong. Adjusts to where you are typing A message to a friend and an email to your manager should not read the same way. Twik adjusts. WHEN PEOPLE USE TWIK Messaging while cooking, driving, commuting, or working Answering customers throughout the day without stopping to type Writing in a mix of languages without fighting the keyboard Students writing notes and assignments Long messages that would take ten minutes to thumb out Writing prompts for ChatGPT and other AI tools Anyone typing in a language they speak better than they spell People who find typing painful because of arthritis, RSI, or hand injuries People with dyslexia, ADHD, or a stutter who would rather speak Older users who find phone keyboards small and slow GETTING THE BEST FROM TWIK Speak at your normal speed. No need to slow down. Switch languages mid sentence whenever you want. Allow the permissions during setup, otherwise the mic button cannot appear. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE Android has no standard way for an app to know when you have tapped into a text box in a different app, or to write text into it. The Accessibility Service is the only method available, which is why Twik requires it. Twik uses it for four things and nothing else: Knowing when a text field is active, so the mic button can appear at the right moment. Writing your dictated words into that field once you have finished speaking. Knowing whether the keyboard is currently on screen, so the button can hide when it is not needed. Recording basic diagnostic information such as crashes and device type, used only to fix problems in the app. When you are not dictating, Twik reads nothing. It does not log what you type, monitor your screen, or gather information from other apps. Twik does not bypass Android's privacy settings, alter system settings on its own, or disguise what it is doing. PRIVACY We do not sell your data. Read our privacy policy for details on how your voice data is handled.
