Minus One

Every piece you are given has five squares. Minus One is a puzzle game built on a single decision. A piece arrives, you erase one square from it, and you drag the remain onto an 8x8 board. Fill a row or a column and it clears. Cut the wrong square and the shape you are left with fits nowhere. That one subtraction is the whole game. There is no rotation, no shuffle, no undo. Each piece can be cut five different ways, and often only one of them keeps the board alive. SURVIVAL Play until nothing fits. Clear more than one line at once to build a combo and push your score. Every run has a seed, so a run you liked can be replayed exactly, and a run that beat you can be fought again from the same start. DAILY CHALLENGE One board a day, the same board for everyone. Clear 12 lines inside 25 moves. You get three attempts, and the challenge resets at midnight UTC. Pass it and you can post the result. HOW IT PLAYS Tap a square on the piece to erase it. The game counts how many places the remaining shape can still fit, so a dead end is something you walk into with your eyes open, not a surprise. Drag the shape onto the board to place it. A green ghost means the placement is legal, red means it is not, and you can change the cut any time before you let go. NO PRESSURE TO SPEND There is nothing to buy. Ads are optional and rewarded only: you start one yourself in exchange for a second erase, one more life when a run ends, or an extra go at the daily. The game is fully playable without ever watching one. No banners, no ads between rounds, no timers, no lives to wait for. Works offline.
