Tsunagi: Smart Flashcards

Your brain is really good at forgetting. Tsunagi is really good at timing: it shows you each card right before you'd forget it. FEWER REVIEWS, MORE RETENTION Tsunagi schedules your reviews with FSRS, a modern open-source spaced repetition algorithm. Each time you remember a card, the gap gets longer: 1 day, 3 days, 9 days, a month... You spend less time reviewing and still remember more. After each card you tell Tsunagi how it went with four buttons: Again, Hard, Good, Easy. Each one shows when you'll see the card next. CARDS CAN HOLD MORE THAN WORDS • Math with LaTeX, subscripts and superscripts • Images, audio, video and 3D models (molecules too) • Code with syntax highlighting in over 200 languages (you can cloze inside it) • Tables, diagrams and function plots • Beautifully drawn organic molecules • Chess positions and sheet music • Furigana CARD TYPES • Basic and reversed cards • Cloze (fill in the blank), revealed one by one if you like • Type the answer • Multiple choice • True/false • Image occlusion: hide parts of a diagram, map or anatomy image PASTE AI TEXT DIRECTLY Asked an AI to explain something? Paste the answer straight into a card. Headings, tables, math, code blocks and lists all show up the way they should. No cleanup, no reformatting. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU • Local-first: everything is stored on your device and works fully offline. • Export all your data to a single file whenever you want. EASY ON BUSY DAYS • Freeze: set cards aside for a day. They come back tomorrow. • Bury: hide cards until you decide to bring them back. WHO IS IT FOR? • Students with a lot to remember. • Language learners who want a vocabulary as big as a mountain. In short, anyone who wants to keep what they learn, not just read it once. Welcome to Tsunagi. The next stop on your learning journey. A NOTE I built Tsunagi with vibe coding: all of its code was written with AI. I'm saying this up front so you can make an informed choice.
